We conduct advertised adventure activities at Mt Buffalo National Park on selected weekends and public holidays (including school holidays). Prices shown are for October to May, surcharges may apply for winter adventures:Examples include:

PRE BOOKED ADVENTURES

Private Pre Booked adventures can be arranged for Mt Buffalo or other locations as required. These are mostly full day adventures, although half day programs can also be arranged at Mt Buffalo or Beechworth. Multi Day programs are also available.

Full or Multi-Day adventures can include Rock climbing, Abseiling, Caving and Bushwalking

Winter Adventures

We provide a range of tours and adventures that are suitable for winter conditions including in the rain and snow. For our ski and snow camping adventures see the link on the home page.

Winter - Alpine Abseiling
Why not try Alpine (adverse conditions) abseiling where you can experience this great adventure in snow or rain, which can add to the total adventure experience. It's a taste of Alpine mountaineering (but you can slip back to the Chalet for a coffee).

Abseiling in the snow is one of lifes great experiences. You can chose from the smaller 25 and 35 Metre descents or perhaps you would like to experience a 250 Metre multi-pitch descent in the snow.

We can even operate at night (imagine the snow at night with a clear sky and a full moon!) Prices from $88pp for a half day adventure at Mt Buffalo.

Burstons Crevasse

Burstons crevasse is a mountaineering adventure that can provide a challenge when the snow is too wet or the rains have come. It is also a wonderful experience in a snowstorm as, although you feel like you are in the wilderness, in fact you are only two hundred metres from the Mt Buffalo Chalet.

Its also a good summer adventure where you can escape the heat of the day in the shade of the Gorge. Burstons Crevasse is suitable for a wide range of ages and fitness levels and is a good family adventure.

Limestone Caving

Although the Underground river Cave at Mt Buffalo is normally too wet and cold to run in winter, we do conduct winter caving in Armagedon cave naer the Mt Buffalo Chalet. Limestone caves at Wee Jasper and Buchan. Limestone caves have constant year round temperatures so are an excellent FOUR SEASON adventure at any time (and they are out of the rain in the wetter months).

Caving at Labertouche Cave near Melbourne is also a FOUR SEASON adventure!

Advertised Adventures

Adventure Guides Australia conducts half and full day Advertised Adventures at Mt Buffalo National Parkfrom November through to May (inclusive) each year. These Adventures are conducted on selected:

North Wall Abseil Challenge

Are you enough to meet the Challenge of a 300 metre Multi-Pitch abseil down the magnificent North Wall of Mt Buffalo Gorge and then Scramble and Climb back out the other side?

Private one or two day expeditions into the Gorge can be booked for from one person to a small group. Prices from $330pp (fee for one or two participants).

We have a great range of suitable Adventures available.
ROCK CLIMBING can be arranged for your group or perhaps you would like to try one of our Advertised CATHEDRAL CLIMBING ADVENTURES. We conduct CROSS COUNTRY SKI TOURING and SNOW SHOE TRECKS in the wintertime. Why not try one of our ALPINE TREKS or BUSHWALKING ADVENTURES.

         PRICES FOR OUR "ADVERTISED ADVENTURES" AT MT BUFFALO ARE AS FOLLOWS:

½ day 35 metre Beginners Abseil (Selected Saturday mornings from Nov to May) aJuly to September $88pp aOctober to May $77pp

½ Day 35 Metre and 45 Metre Challenge Abseils (Selected Sunday mornings from November to May) ............$99pp 1/2 Day Caving in the Underground River Cave  (Selected Saturday Aftternoons from November to May ............ $99pp

PRICES FOR OUR PRIVATE GROUP ADVENTURES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

l Full day of Abseiling, three sites from 25 to 45 Metres: From $165pp (Minimum fee for 4)

l Full day of Abseiling with abseils from 35 and 45 Metres followed by a 250 Metre Multi-Pitch Descent on the South wall of Mt Buffalo Gorge: From $210pp (Minimum fee for 6)

l Full Day North wall of Mt Buffalo Gorge 300 Metre Multi-Pitch descent (Minimum fee for 1) aOne Participant: $330 aTwo Participants: $330pp aThree or Four Participants: $300pp aTeam of 10 Participants: $260pp

A Half day of underground river CAVING for your group will cost from $110pp (Minimum fee for 6)

We also conduct pre booked winter Caving and Crevassing at Mt Buffalo (Vertical and Horizontal)
